Picasso's Pyrenees

7:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Mount Pleasant Public Library

Event Details

About 100 years ago, a charming little town in the foothills of the French Pyrenees called CĂ©ret became a center of Modern Art. Up-and-coming artists such as Picasso, Braque, Matisse, and Gris spent time in the area. It was here that Picasso and Braque developed analytical cubism.
Liz Kemble, the founder of a travel touring company, will show us the places these masters lived and worked, who they hung out with, where they traveled, and the work that was inspired by their surroundings and community.
